Arricano will create a green social space for the RayON community

Arricano determined the winner of the CSR project on landscaping the capital, which involved the proactive student and teaching communities of the leading university in Ukraine - Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

For 8 months, the Arricano team, together with teachers and students of the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology of the Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, worked to develop the best solutions to create a modern social space for residents of the Desnianskyi district of the capital and guests of the RayON shopping mall. Among all the participants who submitted their ideas, several stages of selection were passed, in June Arricano finally chose the best concept for implementation. The winner was Anastasiia Slipchuk, a 1st year student of the Master's degree program on Transboundary Environmental Cooperation of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, with the original landscape project "Whisper of Nature".

To make the location for recreation really comfortable, cozy and, most importantly, green, the contestant proposed to create 4 social zones with a mix of perennial plantings (deciduous trees, ornamental shrubs, hedges of thuja, herbaceous plants), mixborders will provide continuous flowering throughout the year. The overall concept will be complemented by recreation areas, high-quality multi-level lighting, so that the rest near the RayON shopping mall is comfortable at any time of the day.

The awarding of the winner and participants of the final stage of the competition for the best CSR project for landscaping the capital symbolically took place next to the RayON shopping mall, at the place where the new landscape design of the social space will later be implemented.

In 2022, Arricano signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to coordinate efforts in the field of science, creative and educational development of the community and the implementation of the CSR strategy of the company and the university. Since the beginning of cooperation, students and teachers of the country's leading university have been actively involved in the development and implementation of social, entertainment and educational initiatives in the Arricano shopping mall.

At the end of 2023, the developer of shopping malls organized a competition for the best social landscaping project for the RayON shopping mall, which was attended by teachers and students of the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology of the Faculty of Geography of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
