SGMC Health Adjusts Facility Schedules Due to Impact of Hurricane Helene

Please see updates for operations on Monday, Sept. 30, 2024: All non-emergent and non-urgent surgeries, outpatient procedures, and tests will be rescheduled. SGMC Health clinics, urgent care, and outpatient services will remain closed.

SGMC Health's emergency departments at its Main, Smith Northview, Lanier, and Berrien campuses will remain open. Inpatient care will continue at these facilities and the Langdale Hospice House and Lakeland Villa.

SGMC Health reminds residents that hospitals are not shelter sites. Individuals seeking shelter are directed to refer to their county emergency management agency shelter locations.

At this time, our main line 229-433-1000, is operational. Due to significant call demand, we are working to create more capacity, and our care teams continue to proactively reach out to our patients' families to keep them up-to-date.

We appreciate our network providers, AT&T and Verizon, for their help to ensure we have adequate coverage during this challenging time.

Please continue to monitor our social media accounts and sgmc.org for the latest information.
