We're Working to Uproot Racism and We Need You with Us

We are seeking a peaceful, equitable, and just world. We bring this vision into reality by working in coalition with like-minded organizations and friends to confront systemic racism in our communities.

FCNL is creating a cadre of grassroot racial justice changemakers through our work with Quaker Coalition to Uproot Racism (QCUR). This is a collaborative project that includes FCNL and five other national Quaker organizations - American Friends Service Committee, Friends Council on Education, Friends General Conference, Pendle Hill, and Quaker Voluntary Service.

Through QCUR, FCNL has helped recruit and train changemakers to learn and practice how to confront white supremacy culture and supporting racial equity. As a recent participant, I can attest to the powerful impact of this project!

Since January, we've supported 30 practitioners who are working to create our shared vision of peace, equity, and justice within and beyond their Quaker communities. The program is committed to a sliding scale registration fee, which helps to achieve racial, age diversity, and socio-economic parity. It also means the registration fee does not cover all of QCUR's expenses.

From now through September 6 your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000 to support the work of QCUR's second cohort.

Will you consider a gift in support of this project during our matching challenge?

Your generosity will help support racial equity training for a new cohort of Friends and friends, who will apply what they've learned within their communities.I have invested in anti-racism efforts for many years, and I have never had an experience as personally transformative in this area as the Quaker Coalition to Uproot Racism. I am applying my learnings throughout my work and my world!
