L3Harris Commercial Aviation has launched PilotApp, designed to empower pilots with crucial insights into flight performance to optimize operations. Leveraging advanced flight data intelligence, PilotApp delivers personalized, actionable insights to pilots in a clear, user-friendly format, improving decision-making and mitigating operational risks.

The app rapidly decreases FDM/FOQA event rates and eliminates latency in data distribution, significantly improving decision-making. It engages pilots by displaying complex flight data using aircraft instrument-based displays and driving engagement with personalized insights. Additionally, it allows for the customization of data sharing, display formats and push notifications to meet specific operational needs.

By unifying performance and safety, PilotApp delivers secure flight data intelligence crucial for operational success. Utilizing data from L3Harris' renowned Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) platform, Flight Data Connect (FDC), PilotApp integrates seamlessly with existing systems ensuring compatibility without requiring operators to be existing L3Harris customers.

PilotApp enables pilots to plan flights with threat and error awareness insights, highlighting known safety risks and leveraging previous flight performance data through a comprehensive preflight briefing. Pilots can review detailed performance metrics post flight, optimizing safety and efficiency with flight evaluation scores. The app also allows pilots to track personalized performance trends over time, providing at-a-glance summary statistics and performance analysis.

Security of the app is paramount with data encryption both in transit and at rest, integrating smoothly with iOS app distribution tools and internal authentication systems to provide a secure user experience.
