Mosquito Spraying Scheduled for Balch Springs

Due to positive West Nile Virus (WNV) samples found at trap location 14229 Marsha Dr 75180, mosquito spraying is scheduled as follows:

Schedule for Spraying:

• Tuesday, June 25: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Wednesday, June 26: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM

Spray Areas:

Please refer to the attached map for the specific areas that will be sprayed.

Important Notes:

• No spraying will occur at 4710 Pioneer.
• Only the trap at 14229 Marsha Dr tested positive for WNV. All other traps tested negative.

Protect Yourself from Mosquitoes:

• Use Insect Repellent: Apply EPA-registered insect repellent on exposed skin and clothing.
• Wear Long Sleeves and Pants: Especially during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active.
• Use Screens: Ensure windows and doors have screens to keep mosquitoes outside.
• Eliminate Standing Water: Remove any standing water around your home where mosquitoes can breed.
• Keep Mosquitoes Out: Use air conditioning or ensure that doors and windows are tightly closed.
