Traffic changes taking place next week on US 385 project in Levelland

LEVELLAND - Traffic changes are coming to US 385 in Levelland next week as the Texas Department of Transportation continues to make improvements to the roadway. Beginning Monday, October 7, crews will switch all traffic, between FM 300 and 13th Street, to the newly built northbound lanes. The switch will allow crews to begin building the southbound US 385 lanes.

The operation is expected to begin mid-morning, with all traffic moved by the end of the day; weather permitting. Clubview Drive will also reopen to traffic on Monday. Drivers should keep in mind that speed limits have been reduced throughout the project and are advised to stay alert.

The project is making roadway improvements to more than 3.8 miles of US 385 in the city of Levelland. The anticipated completion date is summer 2025.
