Deadline Extended for MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers 2024 DEI Award Nominations

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. - MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers is pleased to announce that the deadline for submitting nominations for the 2024 MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Awards has been extended to Friday, September 6, 2024. The awards, which will be presented on November 6 during AAPEX in Las Vegas, honor individuals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing DEI in the automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket industry.

"We recognize the critical role diversity, equity, and inclusion play in the ongoing success and innovation within our industry," said Paul McCarthy, President of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. "By extending the nomination deadline, we hope to encourage even more submissions and highlight the tremendous work being done to create a more inclusive environment."

The MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers DEI Awards include two categories: an Individual Award and a Company Award. The Individual Award will be presented to a leader in the aftermarket who exemplifies the core values of DEI, while the Company Award will honor an organization that has made significant achievements in promoting DEI within the industry.

Submissions will be evaluated based on the impact of the nominee's DEI initiatives, their leadership in fostering an inclusive environment, and the outcomes of their efforts. The extended deadline provides additional time for those who are making a difference in DEI to be recognized.
