St. Joseph, Mo. - A section of Nodaway County Route VV will close for bridge work at the Platte River Bridge west of Conception. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close Route VV from Route AH to Mercury Road, November 12-14, and potentially November 18-19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily. During the closure, crews will take core samples of the bridge. The Platte River Bridge is currently scheduled to be replaced in Fiscal Year 2026 as part of MoDOT's Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan. The core samples are needed for the new bridge design planning process.
