SUMTER COUNTY OFFICES CLOSING ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2024 DUE TO HURRICANE HELENE

Based upon anticipated weather conditions with Hurricane Helene and concern for public safety, the following County Offices will be closed on Thursday, September 26, 2024:

- Board of County Commissioners' Offices

- Clerk of the Courts Offices - Courts

- Library System (All locations)

- Property Appraiser Offices

- Supervisor of Elections Offices

- Tax Collector Offices

- Veterans Services Offices

As of now, Sumter County offices are expected to reopen Friday, September 27, 2024. Sumter County regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this time. While the offices are closed, staff will assist with the Emergency Operations Center.
