NOTE: Parking information for students, faculty and staff are located at the end of this message.

Designated campus facilities are available to be rented by external parties, including political candidates, for their events. As such, former President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump plans to hold a political event in Minges Coliseum on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024.

East Carolina University is not hosting this event, serving as a sponsor or endorsing this specific candidate in any way. As with any political candidate visit request, the university has informed the campaign of the applicable policies, including N.C. Gen. Statute ยง116-300 regarding free speech and institutional neutrality for UNC System institutions. The university is renting facilities to the Trump-Vance Campaign.

ECU is not responsible for the distribution of tickets for this event. Please contact the Trump-Vance Campaign if you have questions about the event.

C2 Athletic Campus/Main Campus Commuter (Minges) parking permit holders will receive an email from Parking with information regarding parking and ECU Transit adjustments for Monday.

If other candidates request to rent campus facilities, we will follow all applicable policies for future events as well, including any featured speakers selected and invited by student groups and organizations.
