MetroHealth's Acting CEO Responds to Ban on HB-68

Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael J. Holbrook ordered the temporary restraining order on HB-68 to be vacated today, immediately banning gender-affirming care for minors and trans athletes.

MetroHealth System Acting President and CEO Dr. Christine Alexander-Rager has released the following statement in response to the decision:

"We are greatly disappointed by Judge Holbrook's decision because as medical providers we know that appropriate gender-affirming care for minors can save lives. MetroHealth and its providers, of course, will abide by Ohio law, but we will also do everything permissible to support our patients, their families and our providers -- and to help them through these difficult and uncertain times."
