OLATHE, Kan. - Terracon, a leading national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers, scientists, architects, facilities experts, and field professionals, has named Ryan Stredney as director of Electric Utility Development. Stredney will cultivate relationships with key utility clients while ensuring Terracon resources meet client program needs.
With nearly 20 years of energy industry leadership, Stredney understands the challenges electric utilities face. His experience includes demand-side management, environmental policy, risk management, energy sustainability strategy, and strategic partnership development. Before joining Terracon, Stredney led programs and strategy for a large natural gas and electric company serving a seven-state region.
"Alternative fuels and renewable generation are increasingly cost-effective and necessary for our clean-powered future," Stredney said. Stredney earned a bachelor's degree in business management, with a minor in finance, from Hiram College. In 2023, he graduated from the American Gas Association (AGA) executive leadership consortium and actively participated in the AGA's Climate and Sustainability Committee. Additionally,Stredney volunteers and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
