At Assen in 2007, Valentino Rossi won his last GP, beating Danilo Petrucci by 63 milliseconds, who he overtook at the third-to-last lap, in the final chicane. From that moment, the Doctor didn't give the Ducati rider any chance to overtake him again, going on to win his 115th GP. That was his 10th victory in the Netherlands, a feat previously achieved only by Giacomo Agostini and Angel Nieto. Unlike them, however, Valentino always used Brembo brakes, his faithful travel companions in the World Championship from 1996 until his retirement at the end of 2021.
