In Cairo, Egypt, on 17, December, 2023, Oracle signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, (MCIT) Egypt. The Minister of Communications and information Technology, Amr Talaat, witnessed the signing of the MOU by the Deputy ICT Minister for Infrastructure, Raafat Hindy, at a ceremony with various international and local companies specialized in the field of communications and digital technology.

In alignment with Egypt Vision 2030, and Egypt's' digital transformation strategy, MCIT has embarked on building Digital Egypt.Based on an ambitious strategy and plans for the development of the ICT sector and the consequent need for specialized and trained skills in the areas of ICT to be competitive at the regional and global levels, MCIT has adopted initiatives that serve the same purpose, in addition to concluding fruitful partnerships with industry partners.

This MoU with Oracle brings together the classroom to career learning resources and curriculum of Oracle Academyto all higher education institutions in Egypt, alongside Oracle Universityproviding complementary professional digital learning journeys and certifications accessible from a dedicated Learning Portal, for in-demand job roles such as Cloud Architects, DevOps, Data Scientists, Developers, Security Specialists and more.

The objective is to help students and other citizens of Egypt within the framework of the Digital Egypt Generations Initiatives launched by MCIT, which will form part of a number of digital capacity building projects for youth to develop technology skills applicable across various fields as well as emerging digital technologies.
