TDR Capital to Acquire Stake in Acqua & Sapone

Paul, Weiss advised investment funds managed by leading European private equity firm TDR Capital LLP on the M&A, debt financing, tax structuring and antitrust aspects of their acquisition of Acqua & Sapone from H.I.G. Capital and the founding Barbarossa family. Acqua & Sapone is Italy's leading non-food discount retail brand selling a wide range of household and cosmetic products. H.I.G. and the founders will retain an equity stake in Acqua & Sapone. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction, which marks the first time Paul, Weiss has executed a deal for TDR since the expansion of the London office, is subject to clearance by antitrust authorities.
