Public Square water outage and lane closure planned for water valve and fire hydrant replacement

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has planned water valve and fire hydrant replacement work that will cause a water outage and low water pressure to the following streets and roads on Tuesday, August 27 at 6 p.m.

- Public Square

- Main Street (N. Spring Street to N. 1st Street)

Low water pressure possible for the vicinity during the work.

The eastbound lane on Main Street will be closed from Public Square to N. 1st Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to N. Spring Street to avoid the work zone. Motorists are advised to slow down and be alert to workers and their equipment.

The water valve and fire hydrant replacement is anticipated to be finished, water service restored, and the road reopened by approximately 2 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28.
