Tallahassee Talks Radio Remote Broadcast | Staying Prepared 2024

The leaders of all five emergency service first-responder agencies will gather for a leadership roundtable discussion as part of a special broadcast of local radio show Tallahassee Talks with Brien Sörne to be broadcast on July 27, 2024 on two radio stations. As part of the annual multi-media information campaign entitled Tallahassee Prepared that runs throughout the year, the 2-hour-long show will originate from the Tallahassee-Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency and be presented on local radio stations Moose Magnificat internet radio streaming at MooseMagnificat.com , and Real Talk radio broadcasting at 93.3FM. Guest panelists will include Leon County Sherriff Walt McNeil, Tallahassee Fire Department Chief Gene Sanders, Tallahassee Police Department Chief Lawrence Revell, Leon County Emergency Medical Services Chief Chad Abrams, and Tallahassee-Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency Director David
Odom. Show host Brien R. Sörne will moderate.

The discussion will provide each participant with the opportunity to present their respective agency's severe
weather emergency policies, protocol, and procedures including departments and staffing, special events, any
operational or educational programs, and community accessible resources. Questions and issues received in
advance from Tallahassee and Leon County citizens will be addressed. Remarks from CDA Director David
Odom will open the discussion with topics such as the CDA's ongoing mission, staffing, and operations, and its
severe weather preparedness recommendations.

Tallahassee Talks with Brien Sörne began in 2011. Now in its fourteenth season, the show has featured
conversations with a long list of community leaders and politicians, artists, musicians and entertainers,
educators, authors and scientists. It is broadcast weekly on Saturday mornings at 7:00 on WVFT Real Talk
Radio 93.3 FM Tallahassee, and at 9:00 on Moose Magnificat internet radio streaming at
MooseMagnificat.com A repeat broadcast can be heard on Moose Magnificat Sunday afternoon at 3:00 and
Wednesday afternoon at 5:30.

The Tallahassee Prepared multi-media campaign provides homeowners and business owners in
Tallahassee/Leon County and The Big Bend area with needed resources, instructions and information. The
campaign is operated by Capstan Marketing in Tallahassee and has been recognized by NOAA and The
National Weather Service as an official Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. The Campaign's slogan It's An
Attitude, Not A Season is presented across the region annually with TV, radio, print, outdoor, and social media
