TFBF Regional Field Director Eddie Clark Announces Retirement

Eddie Clark, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation regional field director for the Upper Cumberland area, has announced he will retire at the end of the year.

"Farm Bureau has been a wonderful organization to work for these past 37 years," said Clark. "The people are the salt of the earth, and it has been an honor to work with and for farmers across our state. No doubt I'll miss this role, but I'm excited to have more time to spend with my kids and grandkids."

In 1988, Clark joined the organization as a field director and has worked with county Farm Bureaus to improve agriculture and protect the rural way of life. He has served on several committees, boards and foundations related to agriculture during his tenure, but his focus and commitment has been on the local level with county boards and volunteer leaders. His leadership has been vital for the agriculture industry in not only the Upper Cumberland area, but also Middle Tennessee and the entire state.

"Eddie Clark is one of my best friends and has been an exemplary coworker for over 30 years. He has quietly worked with Farm Bureau volunteer leaders across the Upper Cumberland and remains one of the most respected people in middle Tennessee agriculture," said Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation Executive Vice President Bryan Wright. "We're sure going to miss him, but we wish him all the best in a much-deserved retirement after nearly four decades of dedicated service to this organization."

Raised on his family's beef cattle, horse and tobacco farm in Putnam County, Clark graduated from Tennessee Tech University in 1985 with a degree in agricultural education. Before joining Farm Bureau, he taught vocational agriculture and was the FFA advisor at Cookeville High School where he enjoyed working with judging teams and students competing in various contests.

Clark and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 39 years and currently reside in Cookeville where they are active members of Collegeside Church of Christ. They are proud of their three grown children and now three grandchildren.
