Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) reappointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Defence

Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) has been reappointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake today (Nov 19).

The appointment of the new Secretary to the Prime Minister, Cabinet Secretary and Secretaries for 16 Ministries was held at the Presidential Secretariat today officiated by Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

AVM Thuyacontha (Retd) was initially appointed as the Defence Secretary by the President on September 23, (2024).
