Laura Hammargren to Moderate at 2024 FDLI Food Advertising, Labeling, and Litigation Conference

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Sept. 10, 2024 - Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Laura Hammargren will speak at the 2024 FDLI Food Advertising, Labeling, and Litigation Conference in Washington, D.C., Sept. 25-26.

This conference offers an opportunity to learn from and network with leading practitioners and thought leaders in the food and dietary supplement industries, law firms, consumer protection organizations, and regulatory agencies, all of whom will address the biggest issues and challenges in product advertising, labeling, and litigation, according to the organization.

Hammargren will moderate the "Environmentally Friendly? FTC Green Guides, Recycling Laws, and Greenwashing Litigation" panel. Panelists will discuss the expected 2024 updates to the FTC's Green Guide, state recycling and extended producer responsibility laws, and litigation related to "carbon neutral," "net zero," and other claims that have resulted in greenwashing allegations.

Hammargren focuses her national litigation practice on the defense of complex product liability actions, toxic, and other mass torts, and environmental litigation. Having served for several years as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 multinational manufacturer, she has insight in creating business-focused litigation strategies that address the needs of corporate stakeholders and seeks to mitigate against exposure in high stakes matters.
