The Scholars' Forum in the CIT hosts Jon Radwan

Jon Radwan, Communications faculty member and author

Inside the Core this week we are happy to host Jon Radwan of the Department of Communications for our final presentation of this semester. He will be discussing his book, Ethics in Contact Rhetoric: Communication and the Dance of Bodies and Power (Rowman and Littlefield, December, 2024). Jon Radwan has been involved with the Core for decades and serves on the University Core Curriculum Committee. He is also the Director - Institute for Communication and Religion, College of Human Development, Culture, and Media, which focuses on events linking faith and communication of various kinds. For example, CORECast, the program that records a faculty member discussing a Core text with a student, has been produced through the ICR. Click <<here>> for a link to Radwan's book.

Since we live in a time when ethics is often downgraded and sometimes not considered at all, it is crucially important to look at how it can and should impact the field of communication. Jon Radwan is deeply committed to this subject, and the talk promises to be interesting and important. The talk is held only on TEAMS. Click <<here>> for the link.

The Scholars' Forum in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition is co-sponsored by the University Core, the Catholic Studies Department, the Catholic Studies Center, and Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology.
