July is Smart Irrigation Month

July is Smart Irrigation Month, and customers are encouraged to check-in on their irrigation systems. To reduce water waste, run your irrigation for several minutes and look for any leaks and broken nozzles. Check to ensure that water is not spraying or running off onto concrete or into the storm drain.

There are several programs available to Padre Dam customers to help optimize your outdoor water usage. Explore the following opportunities to see how you make your landscape even more water wise.

Residential Landscape Survey
A great way to ensure you're being water-efficient is by scheduling a Home Water Use Survey. An auditor will visit your home to identify potential leaks, recommend water savings devices and assess irrigation and landscape efficiency. This is a no cost and no obligation Program. Click here to find out more and schedule your Survey.

Replace Your Turf and Get a Rebate
For a limited time, rebates have been increased to up to $3 a square foot for replacing your grass with water-efficient landscaping. Rebates to Help You Irrigation Efficiently
Padre Dam Customers may be eligible for rebates on weather-based irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, rain barrels and cisterns and rotating sprinkler nozzles. Each of these devices are tools that can help reduce your outdoor water use. Click here to learn more and estimate your rebate.
