HARTSVILLE, S.C., Dec. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sonoco (NYSE:SON), one of the largest diversified global packaging companies, has received Sherwin-Williams' Certified Supplier Award for achieving the highest level of product quality and performance, and for outstanding customer service. It is the fifth year in a row that Sonoco has received this prestigious award.

The award was presented to all Sonoco plants that service Sherwin-Williams, including Beavercreek, Ohio, Winchester, Ky., and Hanover, Pa. Sonoco supplies Sherwin-Williams with a comprehensive line of adhesives and sealants packaging, including fiber cartridges, plastic cartridges, squeeze tubes and plungers.
