Welcome to What's New, a collection of news highlights across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) over the past month. Bookmark the What's New blog homepage for quick access to these monthly blog posts. Now on to our headlines and more!
Headlines
This month's headlines are all about compute! We just launched our Ampere A2 Arm-based compute instances. Building on the A1's success, A2 offers higher performance and cost-efficiency for various cloud workloads. With upgraded CPU, memory, and networking, A2 outperforms its predecessor by 28% on average. It's ideal for containerized applications, media services, and cloud-native web services.
Next, we expanded our Oracle Cloud VMware Solution with new Compute shapes that include NVIDIA's A10 Tensor Core GPUs and AMD's 4th Generation EPYC processors, giving you more options to align resources to your VMware workloads. With flexible configurations, disaggregated storage, and global availability, Oracle Cloud VMware Solution helps businesses migrate VMware environments while maintaining control over their infrastructure. If you're looking to migrate VMware workloads to the cloud, this post is a must-read.
Extra, extra, read all about it!
We're excited to launch our second public cloud region in Saudi Arabia. The new Riyadh cloud region can help public and private sector organizations migrate all types of workloads to OCI, giving them access to a wide range of cloud services to modernize their applications and innovate with data, analytics, and AI.
