Expect the Unexpected at Roanoke's Prepareathon

Roanoke Stormwater Utility and Fire-EMS are teaming up once again to bring you Roanoke's Prepareathon on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Berglund Center Coliseum. This free, fun, and family-friendly event is designed to empower Roanoke Valley residents with the knowledge and resources they need to stay safe during natural disasters and emergencies.

Roanoke's Prepareathon is part of a nationwide initiative encouraged by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help communities better prepare for local hazards such as flooding and other natural disasters. This year's event offers a fun and engaging way to connect with local emergency services, learn vital preparedness skills, and access FEMA resources-helping everyone to be ready when disaster strikes.
