UW’s Wyoming SBDC Network Podcast Interviews Owner of Gillette Marketing Firm

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network podcast this month features an interview with Adelita Duryea, founder of Sprout & Scale Marketing, a firm based in Gillette.

The podcast features small-business success stories, educational topics from experts and interviews with staff and leadership. Episodes are typically released twice per month.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

In the episodelaunched May 8, Duryea sat down with the Wyoming SBDC Network to talk about how Sprout & Scale Marketingwent from a home-based, graphic design T-shirt business to a full-fledged marketing firm in just six months.

Duryea discusses the support she has received from the economic development community in Gillette and how P.J. Burns, her Wyoming SBDC Network adviser, has supported her small-business growth. Duryea also explores how her business may be coming to a crossroads where it is time to decide whether she should expand the business to meet the demand of clients or be more selective about the projects she takes on in the future.
