Drew: May I dare to ask you about when you got married to Frank Sinatra? Is it true that you wore a dress that wasn't necessarily fancy?

Mia: I only knew the day before when we were going to get married so I had to wear whatever I had in my closet. It was like that. Yeah, because we were engaged but he went to England to finish a film he was in the middle of and I was in a rented, my little rented house it had two rooms. And press had surrounded my house cameras against every window and there were no drapes, there were no curtains. So I would crawl around the and I would go to the refrigerator and I would open it from the floor, which isn't easy, and try to get like a pizza out or something, something to eat. And then he would call and I would just pretend everything was just fine, but it was a freaky thing. But I guess he saw it on TV, in England. So he called and he said, 'I think we should get married tomorrow.' I'm like, 'Oh, ok.'

Drew: Oh my God, isn't life. So Wild?

Mia on Frank Sinatra Leaving Her While Filming "Rosemary's Baby" & Being with the Maharishi with The Beatles

Drew: What was it like to make that film? I can't even believe I get to ask you that question.

Mia: First of all I wasn't the first choice…because they asked Jane Fonda and I don't know who all else by the time they got down to me, you know.

Drew: I mean, I can't understand, picture or even fathom anyone but you. Everything happens for a reason but that is fascinating.

Mia: I was the luckiest person, you know, when 'Rosemary's Baby' came out, I was in India. You know, because my husband whom you mentioned had left me in the middle of the movie in the middle of the movie because I, yes, he left me because, and I, I thought he never would, but he left me because I wouldn't leave the movie when he told me to leave it. It had another month. He had some dispute with the head of the studio and he said, 'I'm taking my girl out of this,' like that kind of thing. But then when he told me to leave it, I said, 'How can I leave it?' You know, I'm the daughter of a director and an actress and my mother was Maureen O'Sullivan and my father was a movie director and I just couldn't leave a movie. And I was in every shot and it was almost, I had one more month. I just thought it wouldn't happen, you know, but he did, his lawyer came on the set, served him with divorce papers. So, afterward I go to India because I had a sister, my sister is Prudence.

Drew: Yes, Prudence of Dear Prudence, The Beatles. Dear Prudence and she was with the Maharishi.

Mia: We both went to Maharishi and she didn't leave her room. She was a big meditator, still is.

Drew: Dear Prudence, Won't you come out to play?

Mia: Because she didn't come out to play.

Drew: She would stay in and meditate.

Mia: And they were fascinated because, you know.

Drew: Sorry this is just history. I'm freaking out. And you went to join her.

Mia: No, we went together. She was in some nightmare of her own and I was in my nightmare and she said, 'Let's go to India.' So we were in India in the Himalayas and when The Beatles arrived, we were already there a month and I was like, 'Oh my gosh,' things really picked up. It was way fun when they got there. I was so bored. I have to say. And my sister said my sister said to me, could I ask them to keep down the sound because they were ob-la-diing and ob-la-daing. And she said, 'Can you just ask them to be more quiet? I can't meditate when they are singing.' I said, 'Okay.' I didn't tell him to be quite, I didn't, you know.

Drew: Didn't you guys have like an awkward first dinner together? Like a get to know each other dinner for the movie?

Pete: That's true. Do you do that? Do you and the Sandman go out for dinner to make sure you still like each other?

Drew: Me and the Sandman just went out to celebrate his daughter Sunny's birthday….He did and he kept singing in the restaurant. Haaaappy Birthday in the restaurant.

Pete: What was your first movie with Adam?

Drew: It was The Wedding Singer.

Pete: …Did you go to dinner to see if you guys work?

Drew: No because I actually stalked him because I was like, I need to meet you and we met at a coffee shop in mid daylight and so it was, it was different.

Pete: But you hit it off?

Drew: Yeah.
