Dec 02, 2024 School of Education faculty secure CTC School Counseling Residency Capacity Grant

Dec. 2, 2024 - The CSUCI School of Education faculty have assisted several local school districts in securing a $250,000 CTC School Counseling Residence Capacity Grant that will fund a consortium of five school districts in Ventura County. The funds will provide a stipend to select CSU Channel Islands School Counseling faculty to provide professional development for local school counselors to serve as mentors for our Master of Science students.

In addition, this will allow CSUCI to apply for a CTC School Counseling Residency Implementation Grant, which would provide $40,000 per school counseling resident student to participate in a residency program. The funds from this grant are able to be used for both school counselor mentors and students pursuing a degree in school counseling.
