The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) opened Mobile Disaster Recovery Center locations in Palm Beach County to provide one-on-one help to those affected by Hurricane Milton. Survivors of Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Debby can also be served by the centers. See the schedule below for locations and hours of operation. FEMA does not distribute cash at disaster recovery centers.

Survivors, homeowners and renters do not need to visit a center to apply for assistance. They are encouraged to apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov [disasterassistance.gov] or by downloading the FEMA App [fema.gov] or by calling 800-621-3362.If applying by phone, wait times may be long because of increased volume for multiple recent disasters.Lines are open every day, and help is available in most languages. If using a relay service, captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA the number for that service.

For information on center locations, go to fema.gov/drc [fema.gov] or text "DRC" and a Zip Code to 43362. All centers are accessible to people with disabilities or functional needs and are equipped with assistive technology.

FEMA assistance can be provided for various circumstances including privately-owned roads and bridges, damaged private wells and septic systems and vehicle repair or replacement. If a primary residence was a boat before and during Hurricane Milton, Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Debby, applicants may be eligible for financial assistance.
