Issues of further development of Uzbekistan-Malaysian cooperation were discussed

On July 24, 2024, Deputy Foreign Minister Ilhom Khaydarov met with the Ambassador of Malaysia to Ilham Tuah bin Illias.

They reviewed the current Uzbekistan-Malaysia agenda and exchanged views on the progress of implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to our country on May 17-19.

Specific proposals for the active promotion of economic diplomacy, the agenda of upcoming high-level exchanges were also considered.

The sides also emphasized the need to further increase tourism exchanges, especially in the field of ziyarat (pilgrimage) tourism, and discussed practical aspects of the implementation of relevant joint projects.
