Lamboy Named City Planning and Land Use Director

Heather Lamboy has been named the City of Santa Fe's Planning and Land Use Director after serving in the role of interim director following the departure of Jason Kluck earlier this year.

Lamboy, who began her third stint with the City in 2022 as the assistant planning and land use director, was a senior land use planner with the City from 2010-13 and as a preservation planner and senior preservation planner from 1995-1998.

"I think Heather brings the perfect mix of leadership, institutional knowledge, and innovative thinking," said Santa Fe City Manager John Blair. "She is in an excellent position to bring the Planning and Land Use Department into the 21st century and elevate the customer experience."

Lamboy has worked for over 20 years in planning for large/small jurisdictions nationally.

"I am excited to have the opportunity as planning and land use director to make process improvements, sharpen customer service skills, and oversee the updates of the Land Development Code and the General Plan," Lamboy said. "I am dedicated to the people of Santa Fe as this is my home. I will ensure that Santa Fe's voices are heard to ensure that Santa Fe is a community of lasting value that we and future generations can enjoy."
