Greenberg Traurig Advises on Sale of Highstreet Building in Heidelberg

BERLIN - Sept. 27, 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised on the sale of a commercial property in a prime downtown location in Heidelberg. The buyer is dm-drogerie markt, a German drugstore chain that has been operating a drugstore in the property since July 2023 as an existing tenant.

The fully let property, with a total rental area of 4,652 square meters, is located in the busy pedestrian zone at Hauptstraße 9-13, which is one of the longest pedestrian zones in Europe. dm acquired the property from Heidelberg H 9-13 / Wiesbaden L 5-9 Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG, which was part of Signa Group and filed for insolvency at the Berlin-Charlottenburg district court Jan. 10. The purchase agreement has now been executed.

The acquisition secures the location for dm long-term. Other tenants in the property include Only, Paper & Tea, and the fitness studio Basic-Fit.
