Linn County Public Health, Together! Healthy Linn Hosting Town Hall Meetings, Offering Surveys

Linn County Public Health and Together! Healthy Linn are hosting two town hall meetings to allow community members to share their experiences and perspectives about the health of our community.

These town hall meetings are part of the Community Health Assessment (CHA) process, which takes place every three years. All feedback gathered during the town hall meetings will be used to inform the health priorities of the 2025-2027 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).

Dates and times for the town hall meetings are:

  • Thursday, July 11, 5:30 to 7 p.m.: Community Room at Lester Buresh Community Wellness Center, 855 Palisades Rd. SW Mount Vernon, IA 52314
  • Wednesday, July 17, 6 to 7:30 p.m.: Fairfax City Hall, 300 80th St. Court Fairfax, Iowa, 52228

In addition to the town hall meetings, residents can provide their feedback through two surveys. The food security survey is looking to gather input on the current state of food security within Linn County, as well as identifying needs and challenges for enhancing access to food resources. The community violence survey aims to capture residents' thoughts on our community's safety and security, and input will assist in developing violence prevention strategies to keep our community safe. Both surveys will end on July 31, 2024.
