Bristol's Hope man arrested and charged with multiple Criminal Code offences

Thirty-year-old Saige Peddle of Bristol's Hope was arrested and charged on Saturday, August 24, 2024, by the RCMP following the execution of search warrants authorized under the Criminal Code at a residence in Bristol's Hope and a business location in Carbonear.

RCMP NL East District General Investigation Section and Harbour Grace RCMP led the investigation, with support from the RCMP NL Emergency Response Team, Police Dog Services, Traffic Services East and the RNC.

Multiple items were seized in the operation, including the following:

  • 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider, stolen from Ontario
  • 2024 BMW X3, stolen from Ontario
  • Firearms
    • Glock 9MM Handgun
    • .22 Caliber Remington 597 Rifle
    • .177 Caliber Smith and Wesson M&P 40
    • .177 Caliber Berretta PX4 Storm
  • Ammunition
  • Brass knuckles
  • Small quantity of cocaine

Peddle has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Alteration of a Vehicle Identification Number - two counts
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm - three counts
  • Careless Use of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon - two counts
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose - two counts
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Stolen Property Exceeding Value of $5000 - two counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm - four counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Unlawful Storage of a Firearm - two counts

The investigation is continuing.
