UW and Wyoming SBDC Network to Host Artificial Intelligence Webinar Sept. 19

Many entrepreneurs are using generative artificial intelligence (AI) in their businesses. Small-business owners will have the opportunity to learn how to use tools, such as ChatGPT, Thursday, Sept. 19.

Paul Johnson, Marree Reed and Izzy Carbert will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled "Using AI for Business: Ethics and Cybersecurity Concerns" from noon-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The webinar will provide small-business owners with tips and guidance to keep themselves and their data safe online while using AI tools. ChatGPT can assist with writing business plans, crafting product descriptions and developing social media and web content.

Johnson is the cybersecurity program manager for the Wyoming SBDC Network.

Reed is a cybersecurity program assistant in the Wyoming SBDC Network's Cybersecurity for Small Business Program and a part-time employee with Institutional Marketing.

Carbert, a UW student from Ranchester, is a cybersecurity program assistant in UW's Cybersecurity Education and Research Center and a part-time employee with the Wyoming SBDC Network.
