New Accounting and IT Staff Join R&M’s Anchorage Office

Chari Henton and Sylvan Harris have joined R&M in the firm's Business Services Department.

Chari joins R&M as a Project Accountant. In this role, she is responsible for maintaining contract compliance, managing and reporting project financials and budgets, managing accounts receivable and payable, and assisting with database configuration. Chari has 25 years of accounting and business experience. She is experienced in project contract compliance, administration and accounting support. Chari has managed and reported project financials and budgets, managed accounts receivable and payable, processed payroll and reimbursement, and provided audit assistance. She is knowledgeable in the use of accounting software, including Deltek.

Chari has a B.S. in Business Management from Charter College. On the weekends, she enjoys gardening, cooking and working on various projects.

Sylvan joins R&M's IT Group as an IT Specialist. He's responsible for technical support and managing operating systems, software applications and security patches. Sylvan comes to the team with eight years of experience, with a robust technical foundation in troubleshooting and cloud computing. He has managed and executed IT projects, focusing on automation, process improvement and tool integration. Sylvan is passionate about learning new technologies and industry best practices. He is experienced in ITSM solutions such as GCS and AWS integration; MDM solutions; process automation and optimization; data, system and 3rd party integrations security; and custom configurations, specifically with high security needs in HIPAA compliant systems. Sylvan is also competent in developing, supporting, and documenting remote and local IT systems.

Sylvan has a B.F.A. in Film Production and a B.A. in Film Theory, both from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is an Apple Certified Portable Technician and Macintosh Technician. Outside of work, he can be found hiking or on an outdoor adventure like biking, climbing and foraging, or collaging (music/vinyl) album art.
