Police are appealing for information as part of an investigation into a suspicious fire on Sydney's northern beaches last year, under Strike Force Syringa.

About 10pm Sunday 2 April 2023, emergency services were called to Fisher Road North, Cromer, following reports of a vehicle fire.

Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command found a parked truck parked well alight.

NSW Fire and Rescue crews attended and extinguished the blaze, but the truck was destroyed.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation is being managed by detectives under Strike Force Syringa.

As inquiries continue, detectives are releasing CCTV of the incident.

In particular, police would like to speak to a male seen in the area at the time, who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance and he was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black and red shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
