Butter Cows, Corndogs, and Horse Shows – Oh My!

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) - To celebrate the opening of the Ohio State Fair, TourismOhio is unveiling its list of can't-miss adventures and experiences at the beloved Ohio tradition. The "24 in 24" list is now available online.

"The Ohio State Fair is one of the many great traditions of our state," said Governor DeWine. "Each summer, Fran and I look forward to visiting the fair with our kids and grandkids, creating new memories, and seeing firsthand the spirit and culture that makes Ohio the Heart of it All."

The 169th Ohio State Fair runs July 24 through August 4 at the Ohio State Fairgrounds and Expo Center in Columbus.

The "24 in 24" list offers inspiration and insights to help families, visitors, and even the most seasoned fairgoers have an unforgettable time making memories to last a lifetime. The list features State Fair favorites, such as visiting the Butter Cow and riding the Sky Glider, as well as experiences like Governor's Children's Passport and horticulture shows. It is available online and as a downloadable checklist at Ohio.org.

"The Ohio State Fair is a must-visit event for visitors and Ohioans alike," said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Department of Development which oversees the TourismOhio office. "From thrilling rides and delicious food to captivating entertainment and Ohio's rich agricultural industry, the '24 in 24' is the ultimate guide to the fair and ensures you won't miss any of the excitement."

Exciting new attractions and destinations for this year's fair include:

  • Extended entertainment on the Main Street Stage presented by the Ohio Lottery, Wellcare Gazebo Stage, and roving performers throughout the grounds
  • The Food Avenue, located between the Mainstreet Stage and the Midway
  • Kasich Hall's new history exhibit takes fairgoers back in time
  • New partners and exhibits at the Lausche Youth Exploration Space
  • New arts competitions and shows on display inside Kasich Hall and the Cox Fine Arts Center.
