CAYCE, S.C. - (Dec. 11, 2024) - The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation recently awarded more than $800,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations across South Carolina, part of more than $2.4 million given across six states in the company's service territory.

Funding for local recipients will support human needs, environmental stewardship, education and community vitality.

"Our local non-profits are always helping our neighbors and making our beautiful Palmetto State an even better place to proudly call home, so it's always a great pleasure to support them in any way we can," said Keller Kissam, president of Dominion Energy South Carolina. "With the spirit of Thanksgiving and the real reason for the Christmas season in our hearts and on our minds, the critical role they play in our communities makes us even more mindful that we are our brothers' keeper, and we are our sisters' keeper."

South Carolina recipients include:

  • Family of Promise - Aiken, SC - Provides eviction prevention and shelter diversion for families.
  • Homeless No More - Columbia, SC - Offers shelter and supportive services for at-risk and homeless families.
  • Lowcountry Land Trust Inc. - Charleston, SC - Beefield Community Park is a publicly accessible greenspace and gathering place that celebrates native biodiversity, the landscape's Civil War connections, the expansion of freedom in America and the community's Gullah Geechee heritage.
