Drug arrest in the town of Morristown

On August 19, 2024, Troop B- Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team charged Ryan Labaff, age 28, of Massena, New York, with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B-Felonies) after a traffic stop was conducted by New York State Troopers on Scotch Bush Road, in the town of Morristown. During the traffic stop, LABAFF was found in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, and MDMA.

LABAFF was arrested and transported to SP Ogdensburg for processing. He was arraigned in the town of Morristown Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on no bail.

The New York State Police were assisted by the New York State Police- Community Stabilization Unit, New York State Police- Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, United States Border Patrol, U.S. Homeland Security, Canton Police Department and Massena Police Department.
