CRANE, Ind. -

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) held its Annual Command Awards ceremony on July 18, 2024. There were more than 200 submissions leading to 78 award-winners being recognized for their hard work, expertise, and contributions to the mission.

"I am thrilled to recognize our extraordinary team members who go above and beyond to accomplish our mission here at NSCW Crane," said Dr. Angela Lewis (SES), Technical Director at NSWC Crane. Although we can't recognize everyone, on behalf of Command, we want to thank all of our employees too for their service to our country and to Crane's mission."

NSWC Crane held selection panels to review and rate nominations to determine the winners of each category.

"Seventy-eight NSWC Crane personnel were recognized for their exceptional support of the warfighter and our surrounding communities." said NSWC Crane Commanding Officer CAPT Rex Boonyobhas. "These are some of NSWC Crane's finest!"

During this year's Annual Command Awards Ceremony, there was an announcement introducing and presenting the first David Reece Career Achievement Award. NSWC Crane renamed the award to recognize civilian personnel who have made substantial contributions during distinguished careers. A video was prepared to honor Mr. David Reece and highlight some of his notable accomplishments.
