Phase 1 Draft of Land Development Code to be Released

The City of Santa Fe Planning and Land Use Department and Clarion Associates, a national land use consulting firm, will soon release a public draft of Phase 1 of the Land Development Code update.

The full draft of the updated Chapter 14 will be available for community review and input starting Sept. 16, 2024, at the project website santafeldcupdate.org. Click here to read the document.

The Land Development Code, Chapter 14 (LDC), governs all aspects of the City's built environment, including development review and approval processes, zoning districts, building development standards, and urban design.

Community meetings to introduce the draft and highlight important changes will be held:

The project team gathered public input during a project kickoff in April 2023 and followed up with the release and presentation of the Code Assessment Report in September 2023.
