Wilson Statement on Three Year Anniversary of Disastrous Biden-Harris Afghanistan Surrender

Washington, DC- Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC), Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia made the following statement on the three-year anniversary of the Biden-Harris disastrous Afghanistan surrender:

"Americans must never forget August 26th, Surrender in Afghanistan the most disastrous military and foreign policy mistake in history. Killing 13 Americans and creating a safe haven for terrorists putting all Americans at risk of mass murder as warned by the FBI Director. This withdrawal projected weakness, making our allies and adversaries alike question our commitments, setting the stage for dictators invading democracies. That day, Biden lied that he "had letters" from military supporting his malfeasance, and that day I sent letter to the President and Secretary Austin asking them for copies of "the letters." They have never responded, revealing their duplicity. On today's tragic anniversary I am again sending the letter to President Biden asking for copies of "the letters," the American people deserve the truth."
