Denver Technology Services department wins multiple awards in 2024

Denver Technology Services strives to be a leader in all areas of technology in the public sector. This year, Technology Services was recognized nationwide for using technology to make government run more smoothly.

"I'm so proud to be a part of this dynamic team," said Suma Nallapati, Denver's Chief Information Officer. "Their hard work and dedication to providing excellent services to city staff and residents is truly remarkable. Together, we're turning Mayor Johnston's vision into a reality by leveraging technology to create a more vibrant future for Denver."

The LocalSmart Awards highlight the leaders improving city, county, and municipal government. This year, Denver's Chief Information Officer, Suma Nallapati, was among one of the 2024 GoldenGov: City Executive of the Year award winners. See the winners >>

The Center for Digital Government's annual Digital Cities Survey recognizes cities utilizing technology to enhance digital services and transparency, strengthen cybersecurity, digital privacy rights, and digital equity, and those finding innovative ways to support solutions for social challenges facing cities today. This year, the City and County of Denver won 5th pace in the "500,000 or more population" category. See the winners >>

The Government Experience Awards recognize the achievements of states, cities and counties that have raised the bar on the experience of government services. This year's winners have redesigned websites and enhanced services by integrating AI technology, providing single sign-on, constituent and customer service platforms and systems, and inclusive technologies such as enhanced accessibility, mobility features, and broadband provision and transparency. Colorado Technology Association's 2024 APEX Awards recognize individuals and companies that shine in the technology industry. The APEX Project of the Year award is given to a project, implemented by an innovative IT department, that solved a business problem with strategic objectives and innovation and overcame obstacles, met goals, and demonstrated team collaboration. This year, the City and County of Denver's Automation Center of Excellence program won the APEX Project of the Year award. See the award video >>

The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) supports and serves the communications interests and needs of local governments. The NATOA Government Programming Awards honors excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia, and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. The Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) provides efficient and effective services for residents through modern business practices and innovative technology solutions. The SIPA GovGrants Program provides funding and support to innovative government technology projects at all levels of government across Colorado.
