Lane closures on SB I 435 for bridge rehab over Raytown Rd., evening and overnight, Oct. 11 12

New lane closures evening and overnight, Oct. 11-12.

JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will continue bridge rehabilitation on the twin bridges on I-435 over Raytown Road. The following traffic configuration is in place.

NEW: Beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 (approximately)

  • SB I-435 will be reduced to ONE lane for bridge deck repairs.

ONGOING through Dec. 2024

  • SB I-435 will have a single lane closure over Raytown Rd. from ONGOING through Dec. 2024.

In the coming months, motorists may notice traffic impacts on SB I-435 near the I-70 interchange work is weather permitting.

This work is part of a larger project rehabilitating the NB/SB I-435 twin bridges over Raytown Rd. Rehabilitation work on the NB I-435 bridge over Raytown Rd. was completed in Aug 2024.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
