DCCC Statement Celebrating Women’s Equality Day

On Women's Equality Day, DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene shared the following statement:

"Women's Equality Day reminds us of the heroic and visionary women activists who faced violence and discrimination in their efforts to continuously advance the Women's Movement.

"Despite the historic certification of the 19th Amendment, the fight for equal representation is ongoing and it is imperative that we confront the ongoing far-right attacks on women's rights - including our reproductive rights. When House Democrats take back the majority, we will stand up for our freedoms by passing the Women's Health Protection Act to defend abortion rights and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to protect everyone's right to vote.

"I am honored to work with an historic number of women in Congress and on the campaign trail who are not just dedicated to advancing women's rights but who are working to make our country and our political system more fair and accessible to all Americans."
