City of Beavercreek Announces New Finance Director, David Graham

The City of Beavercreek is proud to announce the appointment of David Graham as its new Finance Director. During their meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024, Beavercreek City Council approved Resolution 24-43, confirming Graham's appointment. This follows the retirement of Bill Kucera, who dedicated nearly 17 years of service to the city. Graham, a seasoned financial expert with more than three decades of experience in public service, brings an extensive background in governmental accounting and finance to his new role.

David Graham, a lifelong resident of Xenia, graduated from Xenia High School in 1987 before earning a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Wright State University in 1991. He began his career with the Ohio Auditor of State, where he rose from a field auditor to deputy auditor, managing audits throughout the Miami Valley region. In 2000, he joined the Greene County Auditor's Office as Chief Deputy Auditor, and in 2011, he was elected County Auditor, serving as the chief fiscal officer, chief payroll officer, and tax assessor for the county.

Throughout his career, Graham has been recognized for his expertise in governmental accounting and property taxes, presenting at statewide conferences and testifying before legislative committees on behalf of the County Auditor's Association of Ohio. In 2021, he was named Outstanding County Auditor of the Year by the association.

"We are thrilled to have David join our team," said City Manager Pete Landrum. "His extensive experience in public finance and proven leadership in Greene County will be invaluable to our city and our financial operations."

"David's knowledge of government finance and his dedication to the community make him an excellent fit for this role," said Beavercreek Mayor Don Adams. "We are confident that his expertise will benefit both the city and our residents."

David Graham, who lives in Xenia with his wife Lisa, is excited to bring his financial leadership to Beavercreek. The couple raised four children and are now enjoy spending time with their five grandchildren.
