Four New Retail Leases signed At Upton Place

Donohoe Commercial Real Estate (DCRE) is pleased to announce the addition of four new retail tenants at Upton Place:

  • Botiwalla, a fast-casual Indian eatery by Chef Meherwan Irani (3,237 SF)
  • Salon Maison de Beaute, a luxury Kerastase salon (2,579 SF)
  • Yu Noodles, casual dine-in and carry out offering authentic Chinese cuisine (1,797 SF)
  • Chopt Creative Salad Co. (2,520 SF)

DCRE's Bert Donohoe and Don Konz represented the owner in these transactions, while Asadoorian Retail Solutions (Botiwalla), H&R Retail (Yu Noodles), and Papadopoulos Properties (Chopt) worked on the tenant side.

These four retailers will join the already announced Onelife Fitness (54,745 SF) and Lidl (28,960 SF), which are slated to open in August and September, respectively. The multifamily portion of Upton Place is now open and welcoming new residents.

"We search for the perfect places for our residents to meet and enjoy the company of friends old and new. Somewhere to go for a quick workout, then grab a well-deserved bite or recharge at the salon, and then shop for the last ingredients needed to make the perfect dinner. We are incredibly excited to see the vibrancy and community that will grow from these great retail partners at Upton Place," said Matt Hopkins, Senior Vice President of Development at Aimco.

Donohoe Development and national apartment Aimco formed a joint venture to bring this landmark mixed-use project to Northwest DC,which boasts 689 multifamily residences, including 65 affordable units, approximately 100,000 square feet of prime retail space, and a restored 800-space below-grade parking garage.

The development team anticipates that these new retail offerings will serve as banked-in amenities for Upton Place's residents and the surrounding neighborhood, creating a bustling hub for the community.

The new retail tenants expect to open their doors by spring/summer 2025.
