Readout of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr.’s Meeting with Dutch Chief of Defense Gen. Onno Eichelsheim

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Joint Staff Spokesperson Navy Capt. Jereal Dorsey provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., met with Dutch Chief of Defense Gen. Onno Eichelsheim today at the Pentagon.

The two military leaders exchanged views of the latest battlefield developments in Ukraine, shared interests in South America and the security situation in the Middle East. Additionally, Gen. Brown thanked Gen. Eichelsheim for his leadership with the Air Force Capability Coalition in support of Ukraine and for the increasing contributions by the Netherlands in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Netherlands is a founding member of NATO, a vital partner in coordinating security assistance for Ukraine and a steadfast U.S. ally around the globe.
