Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Unsafe and Unsound Banking Practices - Brokered Deposit Restrictions

SIFMA provided comments to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) on the proposal to revise its regulations implementing Section 29 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act ("FDI Act"), which impose restrictions on the ability of less than well-capitalized insured depository institutions ("IDIs") to accept brokered deposits, and define the scope of parties that constitute deposit brokers.
